Newport Round Table is a community organization dedicated to the creative arts, with an emphasis on writing.
We work together to improve our creativity through gentle critique and interactive support.
The Newport Round Table Advanced Writers' Workshop
meets every Monday at 7:00pm. This is a paid membership group limited
to twelve enrollees. The sessions are eight weeks long. The new
session runs from February 1st through March 22nd, 2010.
The Sally Malloy Sanford Scholarship
Newport Round
Table is pleased to offer partial and full scholarships to deserving
recipients. Named in memory of our friend, writer Sally Malloy Sanford, partial scholarships are designed to cover the difference between
what an individual can pay and the actual fee. Applications will be processed
on a first-come, first served basis until funds are depleted. Contributions to the fund and awards will always remain
confidential.
We'd like to invite you to join our online community. Site membership for Newport Round Table is free to members enrolled in one of our workshops, and available for $25 a year to all others. As we are a writer's and artist's support group, our primary goal is to encourage and support fiction and nonfiction writers, as well as visual artists. If you are looking for a deeper critique and actual classes, the moderators, Mark (James Axler) Ellis & Melissa Martin Ellis can help. The Ellis' have a combined experience of over 45 years in publishing, with over 45 fiction and nonfiction books published.
Authors Mark Ellis and Melissa Martin Ellis are now offering proofing and editing services for query letters, manuscripts and proposals.
Q: Who can join?
A: Writers who have reached a level of proficiency with grammar and

Bedlow Avenue, Newport, RI, 02840.
